Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell is on the verge of bolstering his relegation-threatened squad by signing the Shakhtar Donetsk striker Julius Aghahowa. The 24-year-old Nigeria international is expected to move to the Latics in a deal worth approximately £4million. "Aghahowa has been with us for almost seven years and it's time for him to move elsewhere," said Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu. "He wants to play in England and we have decided to grant him his wish. He is in London right now to finalise his deal with Wigan." The Latics are also close to signing Papa Bouba Diop from Fulham, with Jewell saying: "These things do take time. We had meetings again in London yesterday. We really want the player to come. We just have to give him as much of a chance to sort things out with Fulham. If it doesn't happen then it will be disappointing, but that's the way it is."

メインロードの日本戦でゴール決めてバク転しまくったあのアガホワっすよね？かつての01-02とかのChampionshipManagerでは凶悪な能力だったという記憶（ゲーム脳）ですが、最近ルアルアもあんまり見ないし、またプレミアで豪快な連続バク転をかましてくれるんでしょうか。かなり期待。
